The LiveWell Tots program is a comprehensive obesity prevention program developed specifically for pre-school aged children. Pre-school teachers deliver 30-minute nutrition lessons in the classroom, focusing on food groups, healthy eating behaviors and mindfulness. The primary goals of this program include educating preschoolers on nutrition and mindful eating, increasing healthy eating behaviors and positively impacting both teachers’ and parents’ self-efficacy to instill healthy eating behaviors in their students. As a result, Beach Cities preschoolers are improving their overall health and well-being.
