Our network of volunteers forms the backbone of Beach Cities Health District (BCHD). Diverse, motivated and talented, BCHD volunteers work in a variety of community-focused programs and play an integral role in improving the health and well-being of Beach Cities residents.

Beach Cities Volunteer Day 2024

Thank you to everyone who participated in Beach Cities Volunteer Day on August 7, 2024! More than 120 individuals came together to tend to elementary school gardens in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach.  

Last year, volunteers, organizations, clubs, parents, and students worked in BCHD’s 11 LiveWell Kids gardens. Learn more about the program at bchd.org/LiveWellKids. Volunteers planted, harvested, weeded, and prepared the gardens for the upcoming school year.
