Walk & Roll to School Day is a annual celebration that brings neighborhoods together to experience the joy of an active commute. Organized nationally by the National Center for Safe Routes to School , the initiative has grown exponentially since launching in 1997. Today, thousands of classrooms across all 50 U.S. states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico lace up and roll out every October. What began as a one-day event has transformed into a sustained, year-round effort to make streets safer and keep kids healthy and active.

2026 Walk & Roll to School Day

Get ready to show your school pride for Walk & Roll to School Day on October 7, 2026! Elementary schools across Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach are joining forces for this annual international event.
