The Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) hosts a variety of events, including social hours, training sessions, and support groups. The BCHD also encourages volunteers to help with outreach efforts.

This restorative workshop provides an opportunity to pause and reconnect to our whole being. The session begins
with mindful stretching followed by guided practice that invites calm and presence.
Whether it’s exploring our five-level play structure, planting a garden, enjoying a good book, or learning healthy habits in ToddlerTown, children are enhancing their social skills while having a blast.
Beach Cities Sumer Free Fitness Series presents Zumba in the Park, on Julia Field at Alta Vista Park August 4, 11, 18 & 25. Instructors from BCHD’s Center for Health & Fitness will lead all Free Fitness sessions.

Caring for a loved one with a dementia diagnosis can be overwhelming and stressful. Our support groups offer a safe space to address the challenges that come with caring for someone, find support amongst peers who share similar experiences and openly express your feelings around being a caregiver.
