The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) administers the largest vocational rehabilitation program in the country. Assists people with disabilities to live independently, become employed and have equality in the communities in which they live and work. DOR provides consultation, counseling and vocational rehabilitation, and works with community partners to assist the consumers we serve.

The EDD is responsible for the state programs involving unemployment insurance, disability insurance, payroll tax collection, and job training / workforce services.

Offers employment and training services for General Relief participants. Includes evaluations, an orientation, case managment, job search assistance, job skills workshops, and supportive benefits.

The GAIN program provides employment-related services to CalWORKs participants to help them find a job, keep their job, and move on to higher paying jobs, which will lead to self-sufficiency and independence.

The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program is an avenue to employment for people with disabilities who want to join or reenter the workforce. Millions of adults with disabilities receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are eligible for a Ticket, which can be used to access employment services, vocational rehabilitation services and other support services leading to self-supporting employment.

South Bay One Stop Business and Career Centers are a cooperative partnership of business, employment development, education, training, local government, public as well as non-profit organizations, committed to developing job skills, abilities and attitudes essential for participation in today’s workplace.
