The California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) administers the largest vocational rehabilitation program in the country. Assists people with disabilities to live independently, become employed and have equality in the communities in which they live and work. DOR provides consultation, counseling and vocational rehabilitation, and works with community partners to assist the consumers we serve.

This is a state program that offers low income residents of California telephone services at discounted rates. There are two programs that residents can choose, a flat rate, unlimited local calls program, or a measured local service program that allows for 60 local calls per month.

Represents individuals seeking asylum in the U.S. based on past persecution or a well founded fear of future persecution on account of political opinion, race, religion, nationality, or membership in a particular social and/or religious group. Also assists immigrants who have been abused by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, or victims of trafficking and other crimes.

The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program is an avenue to employment for people with disabilities who want to join or reenter the workforce. Millions of adults with disabilities receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are eligible for a Ticket, which can be used to access employment services, vocational rehabilitation services and other support services leading to self-supporting employment.
