Beach Cities Health District Seeks Applicants and Proposals For Micro-Enrichment Grants

Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) is currently accepting applications for its Micro-Enrichment Grants (MEG) to enhance its ability to provide preventive health services in the community. These grants can provide up to $5,000 per request in a fiscal year for small, one-time project-based health initiatives. 

The current application period will run from March 18, 2019 to April 15, 2019. Grant award announcements will be made in May 2019. Multiple projects may be bundled on one application, not to exceed $5,000. 

Criteria 

Grants are awarded annually to programs that address one of the following health priority areas: Nutrition and exercise, social-emotional health, substance use and cognitive health. 

BCHD’s Micro-Enrichment Grants are now available twice a year rather than on a first come first serve basis. The first application period ran from Oct. 15, 2018 to Nov. 9, 2018. Grant award announcements were made the week of Dec. 3, 2018.
