REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (November 11, 2023) – allcove™ Beach Cities will mark its first anniversary with a celebration for young people and their families Saturday, Nov. 18 at the center in Redondo Beach.
The event, scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m., will have live music, an art show in conjunction with Hermosa Beach-based Indivisible Arts, jewelry making, free food and other interactive activities for attendees.
Since it opened on Nov. 1, 2022, there have been more than 4,000 visits to allcove Beach Cities by young people, with more than 430 enrolling in free services.
“I am extremely proud of our team at allcove Beach Cities and what we’ve been able to accomplish, supporting the young people of our community and their overall well-being,” said Ali Steward, Chief Partnership Development Officer for Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) and one of the leaders of allcove Beach Cities. “We’re looking forward to celebrating this success with the people who have made it possible: our providers, partners, our staff, and most importantly, the young people who are at the core of this center and the work we’re doing.”
Located at Beach Cities Health District, 514 N. Prospect Ave., 4th floor, in Redondo Beach, allcove Beach Cities offers services in mental health, physical health, substance use, peer support, family support and supported education and employment for young people ages 12 to 25 with mild to moderate needs in the South Bay. allcove Beach Cities is a safe place for youth that reduces stigma, embraces mental wellness and increases community connection.
