Meals On Wheels – Beach Cities
Provide one hot meal and one frozen meal per day to anyone in their service area who is home-bound, unable to cook for themselves, and in most cases, does not have a caregiver who can provide meals. Individuals must complete an application form and pre-pay for first month’s meals. There is a $3.00 per meal charge. Services administered in the beach cities by The Salvation Army. Serve: Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Lawndale, West Torrance, and Palos Verdes (90254, 90255, 90260, 90266, 90277, 90278, and parts of 90254, 90503, and 90505).

Offer a variety of programs serving the needs of disabled, children, youth, adults, and senior citizens. Provide: child development centers, medical rehabilitation therapy, adult day services, autism services, living options, WorkFirst employment program, military and veterans services, senior day services, individualized support services, camping, and recreation.
Omnilore Learning-In-Retirement, Inc, 501c(3)
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation serving active South Bay seniors interested in lifelong learning. Our program is centered on study/discussion groups (SDGs), which generally meet on the Beach Cities Health Center/District campus in Redondo Beach, with a Hybrid-Zoom option for remote attendance for those unable or unwilling to come to BCHD. A learning-in-retirement community of approximately 200 seniors, 70% of whom are age 75+ years old, organizes study discussion groups conceived, planned, and directed by the members- entirely peer-led. There are no tests or grades. For an annual fee of $250, membership is open to all age 50+ who seek intellectual stimulation and the challenge of shared inquiry,
Hermosa Beach Senior Programs and Services
The Hermosa Five-O Senior Activity Center opened in May of 2010 and is open to all South Bay Residents who are over the age of 50. Hermosa Five-O Members are a group of fun, active and motivated people, who continually strive to improve their lives and their community.
