California LifeLine
This is a state program that offers low income residents of California telephone services at discounted rates. There are two programs that residents can choose, a flat rate, unlimited local calls program, or a measured local service program that allows for 60 local calls per month.

Social Security is primarily the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI) federal program. It encompasses several social welfare and social insurance programs.
LA County Department of Public and Social Services DPSS
County services include health care coverage through the Medi-Cal Program; CalFresh Nutrition Assistance; CalWORKs Financial, Homeless, Employment and Supportive Services Assistance via Welfare-to-Work programs; In-Home Supportive Services which helps the disabled and elderly to remain safely in their own homes; and, Financial, Homeless, and Employment assistance to indigent adults through the General Relief program.

Disability Community Resource Center
The Disability Community Resource Center (DCRC) formerly Westside Center for Independent Living (WCIL) is dedicated to assisting persons with disabilities and/or older adults achieve and maintain self-directed and community based independent lives via support services and training programs provided by their peers and offered in a non-residential environment. They offer assistive technology services, community transition services, information and referrals, empowerment alliance, personal assistance and placement program, consumer advocacy, and mental health and peer support programs.
