Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) employs an independent CPA firm to assess the reasonableness of financial reporting of each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Beginning with the 2008-2009 fiscal year, we present a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), which adds explanatory narrative and trended statistical information to the basic audited financial statements.
Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports are submitted annually to the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers for review. BCHD continues to be the only California health district to meet these standards of excellence, awarded for fiscal years 2008- 2009 and 2010-2011, and 2011-2012. Certificates are incorporated into each following year’s report.
