Thank you to everyone who participated in Beach Cities Volunteer Day on August 7th! Over 120 individuals came together to tend to elementary school gardens in Redondo and Hermosa Beach.
This year, volunteers, organizations, clubs, parents, and students worked in BCHD’s 11 LiveWell Kids gardens. This program helps prevent childhood obesity through hands-on gardening and nutrition education. Volunteers planted, harvested, weeded, and prepared the gardens for the upcoming school year.
