The Boomerang Project includes the middle school transition program, Where Everyone Belongs (WEB), and Link Crew, a high school orientation program.
Where Everybody Belongs
Where Everybody Belongs is a middle school orientation and transition program that welcomes 6th and 7th grade students and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience. The program trains mentors from the 8th grade class to be positive role models, serving as student leaders who guide younger students to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to middle school. WEB also acts as an anti-bullying program by developing student leaders who look for bullying behavior and help stop it.
The Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout their first year of their high school experience. The transition program trains mentors from the junior and senior classes to be Link Crew Leaders. As positive role models, Link Crew Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate their success.
